Comment: Instrumental version of the song. The author of the song is Sándor Petőfi, a famous Hungarian writer and poet. A Serbian poet, Jovan Jovanović Zmaj translated about twenty of Petőfi’s songs into Serbian, among which was the song “At the edge of the village, there is a grimy tavern”, which was later popularized and folklorized.
